Introduction to Tellington TTouch Method Workshop

  • Well Balanced Animals Lansdown Close Cheadle Hulme United Kingdom (map)

An Introduction to Tellington TTouch Training Method ® taught by Rachel Jackson, a TTouch Instructor with over 20 years experience and a Veterinary Physiotherapist based in the North West of England.

Tellington TTouch Training, or TTouch, is a positive, dog centred approach to training, rehabilitating and calming that can influence all areas of your dog's life and benefit many issues. including noise sensitivity, anxiety, dog reactivity, travel issues, husbandry problems and lead pulling to name a few.

Behaviour problems, performance issues and your dog's well-being are all intrinsically linked to their posture and movement. Physical, mental and emotional balance are all crucial for a well rounded, resilient and adaptable dog, who copes well with everyday life.

Rachel will introduce you to TTouch and some of our many techniques, to help you and your dog communicate better, co-operate and problem solve more effectively. This will include –

~ How to truly observe your dog and read the subtle signs your dog shows to communicate how they are feeling, including tension patterns in their body and through their coats.
~ TTouches that can help relax your dog, relieve tension patterns and help them become less reactive, more relaxed with fireworks, travelling and many other difficulties our dogs have.
~ A simple body wrap that can help your dog relax, be less noise sensitive and travel better.
~ Groundwork activities/leading work to enable your dog to have physical balance, proprioceptive awareness and become more focused.

Who would benefit from this training?
Trainers, behaviourists, dog walkers, veterinary staff, veterinary physiotherapists, groomers and hydrotherapists, dog guardians and those who compete with their dogs, anyone who spends time with dogs would benefit from learning some TTouch techniques.

This workshop is open to any age or breed of dog. Those attending should be happy in a room with other dogs and people and be vocally quiet. If you think your dog will struggle in this environment, please book a spectator place. Limited handler places are available, to allow Rachel to give participants maximum attention.
Maximum 5 handler places available £80 per person with one dog.
